The following are some suggested sources for information on the stock market and covered calls. We strongly suggest that you obtain and read a book on evaluating a companies fundamentals. Most investment writers touch only briefly on options and covered calls and often are quite negative about both.
The following books can be purchased from
, the earth's largest bookseller, by simply clicking on them.
A good source of beginner information on this style of trading is Wallstreet Money Machine by Wade B. Cook. He covers the basics and writes in a style that will get you excited. He completely ignores the idea that the stock may go down, so don't make this your only book!
The second book you should read is Selling Covered Calls: The Safest Game in the Market by Charles J. Caes.
It is a tough read but a book you should read is Options As a Strategic Investment by Lawrence G. McMillan. This book is the "Bible" for options traders. It only has a few pages on covered calls but you should read them. His book McMillan on Options (Wiley Finance Editions) is also very good.
A good way to learn how to tell good companies from bad is to read How to Make Money in Stocks : A Winning System in Good Times or Bad by William J. O'Neil, the publisher of Investor's Business Daily.
Once you have spent some time with the books listed above, you may want to add to your education with Options : A Personal Seminar by Scott H. Fullman or The Complete Option Player by Kenneth R. Trester.
